We recently had the great pleasure of being a part of Emily and Kirk’s biggest of days.  This is the second wedding in the Gruenhagen family we have been lucky enough to photograph, let me tell you-they have it down to a science.  Everything ran smooth and everyone was great to work with!  Even a bit of rain at the beginning didn’t slow down this great bunch!  Always a pleasure…

Here a few quick ones…

Aiden’s back for his 9 month shoot and he is still hungry…  We decided to go outside the studio for this session and enjoy some of the great weather we have been having.  Well, the fresh air only increased cute little Aiden’s appetite for nature.  After feasting on grass and sticks early in the shoot I had an idea.  Aiden’s Dad is a golf coach as well as a scratch golfer so I wanted to do something special with golf for him, at least that would get Aiden away from anything he might decide to digest.

Meet Nolan.  When this little guy smiles his eyes just light up…or it could just be tears from the weight of lifting those big ol’ cheeks.  I was able to stop squeezing those cute cheekies long enough to grab a few shots.  Here’s a couple quick ones…Go Tigers! 

Meet Bella & Gradyn.  We have really been fortunate to meet and photograph such cute little ones.  You never know what you’re going to get when it comes to kids at this age, even the best preparation sometimes goes out the window…but when your a cutie…it shows.

Meet Aiden.  Aiden likes to eat.  Aiden liked my set.  Aiden ate my set.

We had a blast with this cute little fella…we got some great smiling shots and then it was time to eat…the set that is.  Little Aiden really thought our plastic plants were tasty!  It was so cute I thought I would share it with you in a series…  (my favorite is the last shot when he notices we are laughing at him he smiles for the camera…with his mouth full…)

Something to make you smile… 

Earlier this year I was attending my 5 year-old sons tee ball game and as my son (wearing orange) arrived at second base after a great hit, the opposing player felt it was his duty let my son know that they had no chance of winning by flashing him the “L” loser sign.  After that they talked about Spiderman.

Bring on the babies…I love photographing the little ones.  To my delight we recently have had a bunch of babies come thru the studio and even though I’m just getting started on workflowing these guys I had to post a few of these cuties…

Dee and I have been working on some new, simple & cool props and sets for this season and have really had a great bunch to help break them in for us…More to come!  Enjoy.

Today, 97 years ago, a little boy (as far as I can tell) with a funny name was born…Happy Birthday buddy!

My buddy Clem & I are putting on a seminar for PPA in October and we got together the other night to photograph each other for the required headshots needed by PPA.  We both desperately HATE having our pictures taken so of course we had some fun with it…How can I not make fun of an 8 pound mustache..?

The first one is straight out of camera (that’s the pose he wanted to use, he called it the “Shirley Temple”…weird.) The second is with about 2 hours of Photoshop work…I finally got him to look normal.  Well, sort of.    Enjoy!
